Validity Category Score

What does Caution mean for a Validity Category score?

The Validity Score is a measure of how honest someone was being when answering the questions on the assessment. Most participants are scored as ‘Acceptable‘.   If the score is ‘Caution‘,

review the results carefully as the person may not have answered questions truthfully hoping to alter their assessment results.
When this happens,  don’t discount the whole report,  verify areas that may seem ‘too good to be true’ by asking relevant interview questions and verifying results with references.

How do I restart my survey if I don’t finish it?

How do I restart my survey if I don’t finish it?

From time to time there are factors such as a slow or unreliable internet connection that can affect your ability to finish a survey.  When that happens here are some things you can do to continue where you left off.

  • Check your email inbox for a “backup” survey link.  A link is emailed to the participant after its entered on the survey.  In the event you are unable to continue the survey or your internet connection is lost you can use the link to navigate back to the survey.
  • Another option is to use the original ‘survey link’ sent to you to restart the survey. (This option will take you back to the beginning to start over)

Note: Our support team can assist and send you a link to start over if all else fails. (support@talentclick.com)

Do the assessments expire if not done within a certain amount of time?

Do the assessments expire if not done within a certain time?

There are many factors which can contribute a session timeout. The short answer is “yes”.

Those factors include:
– The Browser you are using.
– The network you are connected to when starting the assessment
– Network traffic at the time of taking the assessment.
– Inactivity time during the assessment.

Inactivity duration is the most important one as it identifies if the user is actively working through the assessment or has lost connection.
If the user is working through a longer assessment ,  it won’t timeout as each answer submitted should reset the timeout counter.
As a backup – an email is sent to the participant (once the user enters their name and email address).  That email contains a link to navigate back to the assessment if their network connection is interrupted or lost.

Here is a link with additional details on how to restart an assessment if you’ve lost connection before you submit your answers:
https://www.talentclick.com/clientservices-resources/#How-do-I-restart-the-survey

Note:  Some special assessments have timed sections which will advance you to the next section of the assessment if you’ve run out of time for that section. This is different than a network timeout where you lose connection to the survey.
